He amazes me yet again; 2 months after breaking his back he is walking.

Sun & softball

Church picnic was a blast! Too bad I didn't get any pictures of my dad hitting the dirt in a slide at home or my mom taking out the 10 year old at second base! Took us back to the days when my parents played softball with Tami and the crew on Wild n' Wacky . . . fun times. The youth group was getting aggressive during the softball tournament and the kids made a splash during the water balloon toss. It was a great day.

We finally got a new lens for our camera as per the great advice from my photo pro Marisa! Hopefully I can start taking some better photos . . . I need to do some research because it's not just point and shoot any more- this is serious business!

Josh is making huge progress

I can't even begin to express how proud and truly inspired I am by him . . . he is incredible.

We saw some old friends who blessed us with great news- they are having a baby! Congratulations Brett & Emily we can't wait to see your little surprise!

I had so much fun shopping for her; she is going to love her Aunt Trieste . . . spoiling a little girl sounds so fun!

Prayer Request

A great childhood friend of mine was in a terrible snowboard accident on March 4th 2010. Josh shattered his T12 vertebrae and is currently in a wheelchair. I ask whole heartedly for your prayers for Josh's strength, courage, determination and patience on this long journey of recovery.

You are truly missed

I had to step away from my family blog for a bit. As some of you know my Uncle passed in September and I was not up for posting anything personal. I asked my Aunt if she minded if I share about my Uncle so I can remember him as an accomplished Colonel, a loving husband, a dedicated father and a sarcastic uncle. I think the beautiful words written by my incredible Aunt and brilliant cousin Cristobal speak for themselves.
